Like many of my miniature calculators (more than one of my Curtas), this one came off ebay, and from South America. Some of the South American countries were very quick to adapt to novel calculator technology, as you see a lot of early Curtas surface in Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. So too, this Alpina, N 004706, complete with its leather carrying case, but without the grey metal stand or box.

Some mention this was the last pinwheel calculator to be designed (in 1961), but I beg to differ, as I think that honour should really go to the Calcorex 403. If anyone feels like contradicting me, please Contact Me!
