Facit 7
Odhner clone by Åtvidabergs AB (Facit), after they took over Original Odhner in 1942. There are some detail differences between the machines, but basically this is an Odhner 7, even though it is labelled Facit. I bought this in a job lot with other machines at an auction. I realise now that I never linked to a picture of the Odhner factory in Göteborg. It still exists, as Åtvidabergs was taken over by Electrolux. Now the building, at 18 Gamlestadsvägen, is shared by Electrolux, Emerson and Saab. What is funny is that the office building, in the foreground, has steadily gained floors since its erection in 1943, when it had two floors. By 1965, it had three, and today, it has four.
